3D printing / Rapid 3D Prototyping
What is 3D Printing?
Additive manufacturing, more commonly know as 3D printing is the process of creating a three-dimensional object by depositing thin consecutive layers of material over the top of each other. A 3D computer model of the object is used to instruct the 3D printer how to print the object. The layers of material build upon each other until they form an object.
The benefits of 3D printing are not limited to a more accessible, cheaper, faster more flexible and more sustainable method of manufacturing and rapid prototyping.
